Fake Chinese eggs, which showed up in China recently for the first time in about 10 years, made headlines in Vietnam and other regional countries. Because they are made with borax, alum, glue, several organic acids, and other unknown chemicals, these fake products may pose a health hazard.
Healthcare experts warned fake eggs could cause memory loss or delirium if consumed, according to local Tuoi Tre newspaper. Thankfully, the mport of Chinese poultry eggs has been reduced recently, according to the deputy head of HCMC Animal Health Department.

How very peculiar!
Unless I am not understanding this correctly, it seems like a lot of trouble to manufacture 'fake' eggs considering the low cost of eggs anyhow!
