i live in australia and i have 4 isa brown chickens two of them at the moment, i think have diarrhoea but theother two are seem to be really healthy. the sick chickens most of the time sit still but sometimes they will get up and walk around and i also think they are not laying eggs and the other two are. i have been feeding them laying pellets with shell gritt and scraps that i bring home from work, which can be any thing. we asked about it at our local pet shop and they gave us medicine called sulphadim for the control and treatment of caecal coccidiosis and enteritis in cage birds and we put this in their water and give it to them by drops in the mouth 3 times a day but i cannot give it to them 3 times a day as i work give to them twice a day but one of the chickens is really shy and i find it difficult to give it to her and iam scared of stressing her out and she might die. What have my chickens got , am i giving the right stuff, what feed can i get instead of giving food scrapes, do i have to change the water everyday even if it looks clean someone please help me!
